Georgia Bengali Forum (GBF)

Georgia Bengali Forum (GBF) is a non-profit, community-driven organization dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and promoting Bengali culture, language, and heritage in the state of Georgia and beyond.

Founded by a passionate group of Bengali-speaking individuals, GBF serves as a cultural anchor for Bengalis in Georgia—uniting generations through events, festivals, educational initiatives, and community support. Whether you were born in Bengal, have roots there, or are simply drawn to its vibrant traditions, GBF welcomes you with open arms.

Our Mission

Our mission is to:

  • Foster a strong sense of community among Bengalis living in Georgia.

  • Celebrate the richness of Bengali traditions through cultural programs, literary events, and festivals like Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, and Pohela Boishakh.

  • Provide a platform for the younger generation to learn and connect with their roots through language classes, youth programs, and artistic opportunities.

  • Promote cross-cultural dialogue and inclusiveness by building bridges with other communities.

What We Do

  • Cultural Events: We organize annual celebrations, music and dance programs, theatrical performances, and film screenings showcasing the beauty of Bengal’s heritage.

  • Educational Programs: We support language education and heritage learning for children and adults alike.

  • Community Engagement: We engage in charitable activities and offer support to community members in times of need.

  • Collaborations: GBF actively collaborates with other cultural organizations in Georgia to promote diversity, unity, and cultural exchange.
